Hurley No!! How politically incorrect can you get!?

So the thoughts you have when you are really tired are interesting. Especially when you look back on them when you're less tired. Take this entry for example.

So Wilma is absolutely huge, apparently it's like the biggest hurricane ever to form in the Atlantic or something ... and to quote Kate: America Fuck No ... or to show that I'm really sorry for the people of Florida they's set it to slower music Ammmeeeericaa Fucckk Nnnoooo...

So Lost was on last night. And in these trying times, while there's a drought in Lost Recaps, people are force to joke their own jokes and snark their own snarks ... it's not a pretty sight. But one sight I never thought I'd see were the others! Like omg! Sure it was only there legs but still they're real!! I thought they were fake! But I shouldn't have been so silly of course they had to be real - Charlie didn't hang himself! Speaking of Charlie where the fuck it he these days, he's barely getting any air time! When we last saw him in season one he was coveting a statue of Mary ... Mary full of Heroine that is! How could they not focus at least a little on that! I mean the peanut butter story line from that week was so cute and sweet and my soul loves him for it but I want to know about the damn drugs!

Still on the topic of Lost, what is up with Hurley and subjectifying the visual minorities! "are you from the good Korea or the bad?" ... ok, a) no matter which side one Sun's character is from, she would believe she was from the 'good' side! hello! and b) you've been on the island for how long now and only now getting around to asking her about her life? I'm mean sure there are monsters, and boars, and the Others, and crazy French women, hatches and various other time consuming activities but still.

I really hate Thursday mornings ... cause they follow Wednesday late night chemistry lab write ups ... the only thing I hate worse is Friday morning, cause it has left over Wednesday night tired and it has Thursday night math assignment hours added on ... blood shot eyes anyone?

So this entry isn't quite as random and weird as I had written in my head this morning ... but whatever the jist of it is here.

So today in my chemistry lab ... which I have to be back at school to finish in 45 min. ... I was astounded by so much stupidity. In pre lab the instructor tells us we need to practice lighting a bunsen burner today because, get this ... WE WILL NEVER NEED TO USE ONE IN THIS COURSE!! Omg! Like this is basic stuff from high school ... and then she goes on the say we need to learn it now so if we transfer to Dal next year we won't be in second year chemistry and not know how to light one ... so you're admitting you may be illequipping us as compared to other schools! I knew it! And then to add salt to the wound of this bunsen burner tragedy ... we get there and people can't do it! As if they'd never used one before! What! And then some people were complaining that the strikers were too awkward and they had always used matches ... MATCHES!? How could that possible be safe!? And to make it worse someone turned theirs off (I could see her across the room) by dialling down the controls on the burner! Omg do you want to kill us all!? If you do that it can cause flash back and the flame can travel down the hose and through he system and strait to the propane tank!!!

And that's not even all of it! The lab we did today was on gravimetric analysis which is massing, heating, massing again to measure how much water was lost and therefore the moisture content. so anyways we wash our dishes and put them into the oven and then wait 10 min ... and then we're supposed to put them straight into the desiccator to let them cool ... and we were not supposed to touch them with our hands! We were told to move then with tongues or with these sheets on paper things ... and what do people do? Touch them with their hands! and drop them! and put them on the counter! NO! BAD!! And then when we massed them and added our 2g sample this girl in the front of the line had the balance held up for a good 5 min, if not more! And then when she goes to take it out she grabs it with her hands and is like we can touch them now right? WRONG! To whole point of the not touching it is so you don't add contaminants and mass to the sample! not because you might burn your hand! lab results don't care if you burn your hand, so long as you get good results!! And the worst part is we have to trade results and do calculations with other people's results ... what if I people were bad at it!? I hate this!

Well I've got to get ready to head back and I might start my math assignment (which is due tomorrow ... why do I always do this to myself?) so this is the end ... don't expect another post for a while I have a math midterm Monday and need to study.

sounds like you ahve a lame lab, but you would hate us because we totally light our bunsen burners with matches. I remember lighting them with the strikers though, and I can say I don't feel safe with the matches...
